Clinical & Counseling Practice Profile

Clinical and Counseling Psychology Practice Profile

I am a clinical, counseling, teaching, supervising, and consulting psychologist in independent practice. I received my California psychology license PSY5958 in 1979. My degrees include B.S. in Child Development and Family Relations, M.S. in Counseling Psychology, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. My education and clinical training integrate lifespan applications with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and elders. I have specialty training through University of California San Francisco Medical Center in integrative health and through C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco in depth analytic applications.

In addition to my private practice, I am a consultant and training supervisor for pre and post-licensed marriage & family therapists, professional clinical counselors, and Ph.D. and Psy.D. clinical psychologists. My graduate faculty appointments have included masters and doctoral programs with Dominican University, Institute of Transpersonal Psychology/Sofia University, California Institute of Integral Studies, California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant University, and Saybrook University. I am a member of American Psychological Association and California and Marin County Psychological Associations.

My clinical practice includes adults, adolescents, children, and elders in brief and continuing psychotherapy, counseling, education, and consultation in life-phase issues in individual, group, relational, couples, and intergenerational contexts. My orientation provides opportunity for integrative approaches in lifespan transitions and challenges.

At the heart of our work is not any particular knowledge or any procedure as such,
but an inner attitude to life and to those caught up in its struggle, even as we are.
